✓ John Carr, Retired Past NATCA President

It is an honor and a privilege to offer my unqualified support and strongest endorsement to Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for the offices of President and Executive Vice President of NATCA.

I have had the opportunity to watch Trish and Paul first-hand and I can personally vouch for their combined honesty, intelligence and dedication to NATCA and her membership.

Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert took office during an extraordinary time: dues income was decreasing, membership was increasing and multiple contracts were due for negotiation. Externally the Union faced an unfocused yet recalcitrant agency and an industry that was behind the technology power curve and hopelessly adrift. Internally the Union was in grave danger of imploding due to politics, infighting and the virtual separation of the membership from the Union’s core values.

In two and one half years Trish and Paul have restored unity to the organization, improved NATCA’s finances, streamlined the Union’s administrative functions and re-imagined our Association into something leaner, stronger, more focused and yes, more united.

Paul and Trish have brought many healthy contracts to the membership during the longest economic downturn since the Great Depression. Under Trish and Paul’s leadership the Union has re-established a strong, collaborative, inclusive process with the FAA. If you recall during my tenure the FAA foolishly kicked our expertise to the curb. Under Paul and Trish that expertise now rolls up to the FAA Building a full partner.

My respect and admiration for Paul and Trish grows with each challenge they face. Both Trish and Paul have the enormous experience that this Union and her members need in these two offices and they each bring their own uniquely effervescent personality and unquenchable tenacity to what is truly a team effort.

But far more importantly Paul and Trish have my favorite three personality traits---trust, honor and integrity---in abundance. Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert may not be in a class by themselves but whatever class they’re in---it doesn’t take long to call the roll.

I can’t wait to see what the next three years have in store for the Union and the membership that I love so much. And because I want NATCA to have the very best please join me in contributing to, and working with, and voting for Paul Rinaldi for President of NATCA, and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President of NATCA.

✓ Mike Hanlon, NGL Legislative Chair (ZOB)

Paul and Trish have successfully led this Union through some of its toughest trials.  They have consistently demonstrated the leadership qualities and poise we need to best position our Union for the future.  I believe the direction we are moving in is the right one. I endorse Paul and Trish for reelection.

✓ Jeff Blow, President D21

I have never seen our union as united as we have become over the last 3 years.  Paul and Trish's philosophy of placing the right person in the right place at the right time has put us in a position to excel like never before.  Their humility allows them to put our union before themselves.  Their work ethics are unparalleled.  Under their leadership, we have learned to take full advantage of the collaboration being offered by the agency while still ensuring that our future is protected.  I implore you to join me in asking them to lead us for another three years.

✓ Nate Pair, President ZLA

Three years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Paul and Trish while they were visiting the West Coast. Paul and Trish spent hours with our controllers, answering questions and setting a clear vision for where they believed NATCA could and would be. To say that they have delivered would be an understatement. I believe they have taken this Union to the next level and they have helped transform NATCA into the highly efficient and effective Labor Organization that we are today. Through their leadership and devotion to our members and our organization, NATCA is stronger than it has ever been.

Paul and Trish may be serving the role of NATCA President and Vice President, but I can tell you that they have also become my friends. They have helped mentor me over the last few years and have shown me what true leadership and teamwork looks like. I can only hope that throughout my career in the Agency and my roles in NATCA, I can continue to learn from their example and help serve my local membership as they have served our Union.

I have less than 7 years in the Agency and growing up with no understanding of Unions; it is because of the efforts and guidance that Paul and Trish have put forward, that I now truly understand why we call each other Brothers and Sisters. It is because of their undeniable passion and love for our Union, that I wake up every day wanting to help my local membership and our Organization. They are phenomenal leaders and they have created an environment in which all NATCA members feel they are truly part of the process and this organization.

Paul and Trish are laying a solid and lasting foundation for the future of NATCA. Our younger members are the future leaders of this Organization and there are no two other people who I personally trust to continue to build and grow NATCA for us, than Paul and Trish. Please join me in voting for the team that has been and is building our future!!

✓ Kevin Bianchi, President ZBW

It is a great honor and privilege to endorse Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President.  I have had the opportunity to personally work with the both of them during the last few years and there is no doubt in my mind they are the best candidates for these important positions.

Together Paul and Trish, have been an extremely well oiled, dedicated and passionate machine.  They have led our organization out of the IWR’s and once again convinced the Agency on the importance NATCA provides to the success of the FAA. They have put in place the people and process to ensure our success for a long time.

Please join me and support Paul and Trish as our President and Executive Vice President.

✓ Dana Bain, President ZKC

I'll keep this short:  Vision, experience, dedication.  You guys are the team with it all!  Thanks for all you've done for us and all you continue to do.

✓ Corey Soignet, ZFW

I am a current member at ZFW, on the southwest region LMR team, member of the southwest region legislative committee, and former Facrep at LFT.

My time as the Facrep at a level 6 facility showed me first hand how Paul and Trish interact with all facilities and their memberships.  Paul and Trish are very quick to assist in any way.

My time on the LMR team has shown a real culture change in how the agency views us, NATCA.  The collaborative relationship we have with the agency is due to Paul and Trish's leadership and guidance.

I have spent many years on the legislative side of our union and have witnessed first hand the changes we have enjoyed since Trish and Paul were elected.  We need to continue to build on these relationships and Paul and Trish are the ones to continue us toward lasting success legislatively.

I endorse Paul and Trish because I know they will keep building our union toward great things in the future.

✓ Jeffrey Fisher, V.P. ABE

Paul and Trish have spent the last few years working tirelessly for NATCA.

The implementation of the Red Book demanded that enormous amounts of time and relentless pressure be applied to the FAA at both a national and local level. The scope of our current involvement in technology projects, collaborative workgroups, future facility decisions, and our own "culture change" in the FAA is staggering.

Paul and Trish have also managed to bring us all back together as one Union. From their first days in office they brought a spirit of teamwork to a somewhat fragmented membership. Their decision to utilize and consult with our leaders from the past when possible had an immediate impact in several ways. It tapped a vast collective wisdom of experience while healing some divisive wounds from our past. Those who attended the NATCA National Convention in Hawaii witnessed our past leaders being justly praised for their sacrifices on our behalf, and we left feeling a new unity in our membership.

I wholeheartedly endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for reelection as the leaders of NATCA.

✓ Ann-Marie Taggio, CLT

I've known Paul and Trish for many years now. When they told me that they wanted to be a team again as President and Vice President, I had no hesitation to agree to support them once again. This team they have formed has brought our union the strength to endure critical times in our history of our union. Clearly the past 3 years has shown how lucky our union is to have these two. They have worked hard together though the tough times and have built our union to become stronger, more knowledgeable, and very aware of the direction of our unions future. What I didn't realize, was that bond they created together, would cause our union to grow in immeasurable strength and have the so much success though our tough time. Our success has multiplied throughout our union and kept us focused on our goals.

I know that with our next years to come, having Paul and Trish as our leaders of this great team, will bring great accomplishments for NATCA and it's future. I proudly and humbly endorse them and I look forward to working with again in the future.

✓ Garth Koleszar, National Rep for Training and Pro Standards, ZLA

What an incredible 3 years. We have seen an incredible growth of NATCA’s stature in the FAA, in the media, in the halls of Congress and even in how we view ourselves.

John Quincy Adams said “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader”

The leadership team of Rinaldi and Gilbert clearly exemplify this ideal. Their actions have inspired all of us to dream more, to see the true potential of who we are, who we can be and who we have the power to become. They have shown us that the constant effort to learn about who we are and how we can continue improve ourselves is critical to who we are as a Union. Paul and Trish’s every effort, each and every day, move each of us to do more. They challenge each of us by who they are to become more and achieve more.

It is through their leadership and vision that we are at the strongest moment in our history. I urge you to join me in voting for continuing our incredible successes and voting for the leadership team of Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.

✓ Mike Foote, President LAX

It wasn't that long ago this union was being torn apart. During the dark days of the imposed work rules it seemed we may never become unified again. Since the election I was amazed to see how fast Paul and Trish pulled us back together and working toward common goals again. It had been a long time since that had been true about our union.

Now NATCA is unified and stronger than ever. We are pursuing long term goals intended to stop the wild swings of the political pendulum that we have faced in the past. Ensuring controller input into the upcoming NexGen transformation. Securing an elusive FAA reauthorization bill, that fixes what we needed fixing and passed the House with mostly Republican support. No small trick.

NATCA is moving forward putting together a long range plan. As I am approaching retirement eligibility, I am excited for the future of this organization again. Thanks to our leadership we are set to face whatever challenges lie ahead...together.

I could not be happier with the leadership of Paul and Trish. I hope you all join me in supporting them for re-election.

✓ Richard Woodbury, President BGR

I, Richard Woodbury (BGR ATCT Facility Representative), respectfully endorse Paul Rinaldi and Patricia Gilbert for the offices of NATCA President and Vice President on this day of January 7th, 2012.  Under their leadership NATCA has returned to its roots and been set on a path of improved professionalism and also much needed collaboration with the FAA. My members are encouraged by their progress and excited about their vision of our organizations future.

✓ Jon Shedden, Vice President ZFW

Paul and Trish’s work over the past two years, as well as of those they encourage and motivate, have positioned our union to be one of the most respected in the federal sector and the aviation community. One look at this year’s Communicating For Safety highlights the level of prestige and professionalism they have brought to NATCA.

Additionally, in these uncertain political and economic times, their ability to develop relationships and trust not only with the FAA, but with both sides of the aisle in Congress, are invaluable in leading us forward.

We still have a great deal of work ahead, and there is no doubt that Paul and Trish leading our union is the right choice.

Therefore, it is my pleasure to endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for another term as President and Executive Vice President.

✓ Mark Bonvouloir, President PVD

I, Mark R Bonvouloir, Facility Representative at PVD will be endorsing Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert in the upcoming NATCA National Elections. I believe they have made great strides in the past few years since the Imposed Work Rules (white book) brought our profession to near collapse. They have been a driving force on many fronts including collaboration, Flight Deck Training, fatigue issues and getting the agency away from the blame culture of the past. Paul and Trish have been guiding this union in the right direction and will continue into the future with poise, honesty and a hard work ethic. I have talked to every member in our facility and they all agree, staying with our current leadership is the only decision to make.

✓ James Keith, NSW Legislative Committee Chair(D10)

I have been a member of NATCA for over 14 years and I have seen four presidents and vice presidents serve our great union, each came at a time they where needed and they served us well. Paul and Trish came at a time our union needed their combined leadership, to begin a new relationship with the FAA. Our union needed Paul’s energy to heal our collective spirit and build a new and younger membership. Trish’s wisdom of the political landscape was needed to heal an eroded relationship on Capitol Hill. Our union, our NATCA still needs that leadership. We have bridges in construction with the FAA and congress those bridges cannot be left unfinished. They have invested time and energy in motivating a new membership to carry the torch further. They have visited facilities large and small, answered phone calls from long time union activist and fresh new union activist. We must, together, with one loud voice support Paul and Trish. We must continue the path they have laid before us. It is with great pride, honor and union solidarity that I endorse the team of now and the future, Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.

✓ Scott Sill, President Y90

Brothers and Sisters,

What constitutes strong leaders? First and foremost, I believe that strong leaders surround themselves with a strong leadership team. If this is effectively accomplished, strong leaders can delegate authority and trust that the people assigned to these tasks will complete them as efficiently as the leaders themselves.

Strong leaders recognize the mistakes of the past, learn from them, and set a course of action so that the same events will not take place again.

Strong leaders have a forward vision, the vision to see what direction is best for the organization that they represent.

Strong leaders unite people, to get them to all work toward the same goals, with a very clear direction.

Finally, strong leaders persevere in the face of adversity; no matter how bad the odds are stacked against them.

The team of Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert are Strong Leaders.

This Union was angry coming out of the White Book years. The easy thing to do would have been to keep the membership angry and continue to fight the FAA, Congress, and the media. Instead, Paul and Trish galvanized this Union of ours, and united its past leaders.

With great vision, Paul & Trish improved how NATCA was viewed on Capitol Hill as well as with FAA. For example, Paul & Trish have refocused the NATCA-PAC and its use, resulting in NATCA having more friends on Capitol Hill than at any time in recent memory. In addition, Paul & Trish have rolled out programs that have been instrumental in helping Facility Representatives throughout the Union function in their own facilities, through programs such as Collaborative Work Group and Workforce Engagement.

Paul & Trish even took something so dark and ugly as controllers sleeping on duty and turned that media firestorm into something positive with the Fatigue Mitigation MOU.

These are but a small example of why I encourage you to join me in voting for Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for a second term.

They are Strong Leaders with a very clear direction for what is best for our union (NATCA).

✓ Noel Kingston, PRC

I have worked intimately with both of these selfless leaders and unquestionable integrity is the way I would describe them, individually and also as a team. They have led and directed our organization successfully through a very tumultuous period and now is the time for all of us to reaffirm our support. There is no question in my mind that Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert are the absolute choice for NATCA President and Executive Vice President.

PHX Executive Board

✓ Jerry Johnston, President PHX

✓ Blaine Jones, Vice President PHX

✓ Ed Geci, Treasurer PHX

✓ Tim Denton, Secretary PHX

The entire PHX NATCA E-board would like to formally announce our endorsement for Paul Rinaldi for NATCA President and Trish Gilbert for NATCA Executive Vice-President.

This team has worked without rest to help restore not only NATCA’s internal family but they have also rebuilt much needed relationships with the FAA and Congress. They continue to lead NATCA out of some very dark times and we believe they have a vision for NATCA’s future which could never be matched by other candidates.

We believe the Rinaldi-Gilbert team is an unbeatable team and we hope they not only win this election but they stay for another term in 2015. In our opinion they are that strong of a 1-2 punch and they are that good at leading this union into the future.

✓ Rich Santa, President ZDC

Three years ago, I ran for the office of NATCA EVP.  I did so because mainly of the uncertainty of the times and the tumultuous state of our Union.  Recently, I have had numerous members ask me what I thought of the 2012 NATCA elections, and I can honestly say that Paul and Trish are the right people for the jobs.  They have taken a fractured and confused situation and gave us the direction and leadership to be successful at the membership level.

They have unified and rallied our workforce.

They have built an infrastructure where our fac-reps can excel.

They have initiated and supported projects that will maintain our long-term position as a strong and viable Union when many other Unions have waned.

Most importantly, they have worked tirelessly for us, the NATCA member, to secure rights, benefits and protections that we need in our jobs.

Join me in voting for and supporting Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.

✓ Russ Miller, National Collaboration Lead (ZFW)

As a union we really expect an amazing assortment of talents and commitments from our national president and executive vice president. If you spend just a few minutes to make a list of all that we demand of those roles, I think you'll be stunned. The longer you've been active in NATCA and the broader your experience, that list will just keep growing. And I still say you'll be surprised at some things we just take for granted. Paul and Trish deliver on ALL those high expectations, plus they do it with wit, passion, friendship, and humility.

Last spring, in the middle of all the efforts to reinvent our employer into one that our crucial professions deserve, plus trying to get Congress to even fund it, we had the kind of crisis that reveals the true caliber of Leaders. When the sleeping-on-the-mid incidents exploded in the media, the new relationship between NATCA and the Agency was still pretty new and fragile. There were a couple of days there where it seemed everything could collapse simply because the Agency got embarrassed. Not only did Paul and Trish work with our Board to keep every issue and everybody coordinated, calm, and resolute, their leadership was powerful enough to also keep the Agency's leadership from unraveling. That is truly exceptional, and shows just how valuable they both are.

All you need to do to keep getting that level of character and vision at the top of our union is to vote for it. And if they ask you to help your Union, try to find a way to say "yes." I happily endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for National President and Executive Vice President.

A90 Executive Board

✓ Andy Blanchard, President A90

✓ Phil Hughes, VP A90

✓ Tracie Henry, Treasurer A90

✓ Natalie Greenleaf, Secretary A90

✓ Allan Nesbit, TMU Rep A90

✓ Matt Cathcart, Area Rep A90

✓ Curt Fischer, Area Rep A90

The Executive Board at A90 proudly endorses Paul and Trish in their second term as NATCA’s champions in representing the men and woman of our Union. In their never ending effort to maintain and create a collaborative environment for all of us, they are relentless. Their ability to proactively guide us through some of our Union’s most turbulent periods of time is testimony to their fortitude to lead us in the future. The individual enthusiasm, skills and leadership of Paul and Trish add up to a truly unbeatable force.

We in the Boston area recognize “Championship Teams” and encourage everyone to vote for Paul and Trish in the upcoming elections!

✓ Jim Apone, Facrep MYR

The tireless work they have done on our behalf, from the contract and working conditions through the repairing of relationships. Their leadership has created an unparalleled sense of Unity and Pride in this Union. The path for the future is clear, The path is through the continued leadership of Paul and Trish. As the Facility Representative of MYR I am privileged to offer my endorsement to the Team4thefuture.

✓ Kevin Cain, NAL Co-ARVP (A11)

I have been and continue to be proud of the excellent representation provided by Paul and Trish. I believe that NATCA is in the rights hands, and I sincerely hope that it remains there for another term.

✓ Denise Spencer, NNM Legislative Chair (ZSE)

I enthusiastically endorse Paul Rinaldi for President, and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President in 2012 as I did in 2009. They are a formidable team that has brought our union and our membership into the collaborative work environment we are now thriving in. I have had the pleasure of serving on the National Legislative Committee under their current term in office. From day one I have been impressed with their leadership and their vision. Amongst many other things they have been relentless in getting us our Collective Bargaining Agreement, a Fatigue Mitigation Order and Flight Deck Training up and running. I have been inspired by their united focus and determination in the empowerment of NATCA and its members. I urge you to join me in casting your vote for Team Rinaldi/Gilbert!

✓ Steve Hansen, National Safety Committee (ZAB)

Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to work with Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert on numerous issues while working in my capacity as the Chairman of our National Safety Committee. Their ability to unify all facets of this Union from LR to Safety and Legislative has proven beneficial time and time again; ensuring that we send a consistent message to the FAA and other outside entities. Their leadership is beyond reproach. It is without hesitation that I enthusiastically endorse Paul and Trish for a second term as President and Executive Vice President of this great Union.

✓ Jim Ullmann, Northwest Mountain RVP

As the 2012 NATCA elections near, it is without hesitation and with great pride and honor I wholeheartedly endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for re-election as President and Executive Vice-President of our great Union.

The strong leadership, communication, work ethic, instilment of pride and professionalism that Paul and Trish bring to NATCA is beyond question. They have worked tirelessly on behalf of our members to an extent so great, it is nearly impossible to put into words.

While the accomplishments of NATCA during their tenure have been great, there is still much work to be done. I believe the leadership currently in place will ensure NATCA’s continued growth and success.

Brothers and Sisters, I strongly encourage every one of you to place your vote for Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.

✓ Chad Geyer, OAPM National Representative (ZLA)

In the 21 years that I have been in the FAA and a member of NATCA, I have never been more satisfied with my Unions leadership. Paul and Trish plan ahead, think outside the box, and deliver on a consistent basis. They have not only made this Union united and powerful, but they have made us one of the most respected Unions in the country. Their dedication to the job and passion when executing their responsibilities go above and beyond what someone would expect from their representatives. What they have done for this Union in just over two years is something to be proud of. I can’t wait to see what they can do with another term and that is why I whole heartedly give my support for Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert to lead our Union.

✓ Andy lewis, NEA Legislative Representative (ROC)

Wow, two and a half years ago these two individuals joined up to form one great team! The "Team 4 the Future" has made good on their promises! They have lead from morally strong position and as a result we now have an NEB working together like none I have ever seen before.

They have RVP'S working with committees to help them move to new heights, and deliver spectacular benefits to our members. These are not easy tasks and only come from hard work and hours of dedication.

I know that the countless hours they have worked for me and my fellow NATCA members has been one of the reasons for their success. They are always working for us! Always!

There is still a future ahead of us and I'm telling you .... I want this team there for me and all of you!

Thank you both and I'm glad to call you friends.

✓ Mike Robicheau, NNE RVP

I endorse Paul and Trish to continue to be NATCA’s President and Executive Vice President. Under their leadership, our organization continues to make great strides and improvements in countless areas. Including at a minimum, securing collective bargaining agreements for all members. Their team concept has united a divided union. On a daily basis, they unwaveringly labor to ensure the working conditions of the members they represent improve. Their open and honest communication with the membership is outstanding. I am honored to work with Paul and Trish on the National Executive Board and have the utmost respect for both.

The New York TRACON Executive Board

✓ Dean Iacopelli, President-N90

✓ Kevin Maney, Vice President-N90

✓ Peter Wong, Treasurer-N90

✓ Marshall Cox, Secretary-N90

✓ Bobby Clarke, Newark Area Representative-N90

✓ Chris Villafranca, Liberty Area Representative-N90

✓ Jim Gummerson, Islip Area Representative-N90

✓ James Dyckman, Kennedy Area Representative-N90

✓ Mike Lofaso, Traffic Management Representative-N90

✓ Vinny Riordan, LaGuardia Area Representative-N90

✓ Christine West, Staff Representative-N90

The NATCA New York TRACON (N90) Executive Board is proud to announce that we are formally endorsing Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President of NATCA.

When Paul and Trish began their respective terms two years ago, we were a Union divided and on the verge of implementing a newly ratified contract. There was animosity among ourselves and with the Agency. They faced the daunting task of rebuilding relationships both internally and externally, with the goal of making our Union stronger and more united than ever before.

They quickly set out to mend the wounds from the election and with our past leaders. They established themselves as reasonable, professional and credible leaders with the White House, Secretary, Administrator, members of Congress, the aviation community and the media.

Together, Paul and Trish and have set the course for our organization to be viewed as an integral part of the future of not only air traffic control, but of the aviation industry.

We believe that Paul and Trish are the right leaders for our Union and we hope that you join us in voting to re-elect Paul Rinaldi as President and Trish Gilbert as Executive Vice President of NATCA.

✓ Shane T. Ahern, PBI President

I have been the Facility Representative at PBI going on my seventh year. Time seems to fly by. We as a Union have been through a Green book, a White Book—“SUCKED”, and the current agreement that is the culmination of many hours of hard work by our contract team and current leadership, which consists of Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert. The reason why I mention the above, is because it is my pleasure to give both of them my endorsement to continue for another term as NATCA President and Executive Vice President. I hope what stature that I have would convince you to also do the same. This may get a little long but let me explain some of my experiences that lead me towards why I feel so strongly.

First of all, they backed up the members and at PBI during one of the hardest, longest and most labor-intensive things I have ever encountered, the issue of moving PBI TRACON to Miami. They never gave up on the issue from day one. They continuously educated the new administrator on the importance of doing what is right for the flying public, controllers, taxpayer and legislators, which was key to our success in ensuring that the TRACON stayed in Palm Beach.

Also, they have created programs that prove the need for integrating the experts, the controllers, to get involved in development of FAA programs and equipment. The FAA sees our input as a needed and indispensible asset to progress and not an inconvenience. Decisions are no longer made in a vacuum by FAA Management and imposed on the workforce. We collaborate and take ownership of what a products outcome is and our organization is better for it.

I could go on about many other things, but here is the most important and last thing I want to mention. They have never let me down! Anytime I have shot an email, phone call or issue up to the National Office, they always jumped right on it. They do what they say they are going to do and always tell you like it is. They know how to put the right people in the right places at the right time. Truth, Credibility and Hard Work has brought them and NATCA great success that will continue into the future. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

✓ Mike Ryan, President Atlanta TRACON

The Atlanta TRACON Executive Board unanimously and enthusiastically endorses President Paul Rinaldi and Executive Vice-President Trish Gilbert for Re-Election. We believe that under their guidance and leadership our Union is positioned for continued success in both the near and long term.

✓ Phil Barbarello, Eastern RVP

Brothers and Sisters,

It is with immense pleasure and purpose that I endorse the team of Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert to serve another term at the helm of our Union. Their leadership has been nothing less than exceptional. They have guided us through challenging times with sureness and finesse tirelessly shaping and strengthening our Union.

Together they bring a sophisticated understanding of the political landscape, labor relations environment and FAA workings. Their principled leadership has served to unify our National Executive Board ensuring a clear unified message on behalf of the membership.

Their everyday actions focus on the men and women they represent and I cannot imagine a more uniquely suited team to lead our Union. They are passionate with their responsibility to better our profession, they are well respected by all who deal with them and our employer and lawmakers trust them. No matter what issue we have facing us we can expect excellence in its outcome when Paul and Trish are dealing with it.

I have worked closely with Paul and Trish for more then two decades and can tell you with certainty that their vision, judgment and foresight have served our Union and its members well. Our Union continues to move in a positive direction because of their steadfast leadership. No team is more serious about advancing our rights or more capable of success for our Union. Join me in re-electing Paul Rinaldi for NATCA President and Trish Gilbert for NATCA’s Executive Vice President.

✓ John Bratcher, Chairman-NATCA Benefits Committee

Brothers and Sisters;

It is not often that you get to meet someone that is the epitome of professionalism, integrity and sacrifices so much of his or her own time to a greater cause. You rarely get to work with someone that exemplifies the meaning of unionism. It is even more unlikely that you get to meet two people that exhibit these qualities. I have had that pleasure and that is why I am endorsing Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for reelection as NATCA President and Executive Vice President.

In their last campaign Paul and Trish ran under the slogan “Team for the Future.” For the last two years we have seen that future and it only makes me want to see what more NATCA can achieve under their leadership. They are two highly qualified and extremely motivated individuals that make an amazing team for now and the future! Please join me in supporting OUR President and Executive Vice President for Reelection!

✓ Lisa Cyr, ZAB

Numerous words that describe exceptional leaders come to mind when thinking about the skills, leadership, and characteristics Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert possess. Their approach and leadership styles are complimenting and the accomplishments of our Union over the last two years speak volumes to the work they have done. However, I think the one thing that truly sets them a part from others is that they constantly strive to be better- as individuals and as a team. They seek to improve their knowledge, while looking to others for guidance. They are not afraid to grow, learn, adapt and change. They involve people, and truly care about the members of this Union, which is evident in their communications with our members. Please vote for Paul and Trish and keep our Union moving in the right direction!

✓ Nick Daniels, ZFW Secretary

As we face unprecedented generational turnover within NATCA, Paul and Trish continue to utilize the talents of our Brothers and Sisters from the past, present, and future with a forward-thinking approach. They will place us in the best position possible now and set an outstanding path for our future. That is just one of many reasons why I proudly support Paul and Trish in this election.”

✓ Dan Ellenberger (NATCAvist A80

“It it is my distinct honor to continue my complete devotion and support for Paul and Trish! Here is part of my endorsement just three short years ago: “It is with great pride and true conviction that I fully support Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President of our great Union. Our personal and professional relationships span 20 years. Their strengths, honesty and integrity are qualities that led me to devote my commitment to the candidates who will fight our fights and make a difference. I do respect the other candidates, however I believe that Paul and Trish have the personality, tools, and fortitude to fight for us every step of the way, and they will not let personalities dictate their course or actions.”

It is clearly obvious that Paul’s and Trish’s leadership has not only fulfilled my beliefs described above, but have taken our Union to new and exciting heights. Together…We lead by example and ask the same from our members as we expect from the agency. Together…We have built strong relationships, a solid foundation with dedicated activist and in a collaborative environment. Together…We have forged the future of our profession by setting the example as well as exploring and implementing new ideas and practices. Together…We have accomplished these things and many, many more. Together…with Paul and Trish…We Can!

Please join me by casting your vote for Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.”

✓ Rich Ferris, NCT

Paul and Trish are easy to endorse for another term as our NATCA National President and Vice-President.  They have their different duties, however, they really are one entity.  They work extremely efficient together.  In speaking with them, it really amazed me to find out their depth of knowledge of local issues.  They have continued the movement of NATCA towards the position of being one of the most highly regarded Unions in this nation.  NATCA's presence on national and international committees, allows us to have a voice in many different arenas.  By allowing them to continue in their present positions,  we will all continue to reap the benefits of their hard work.

✓ James Gilstrap, ZHU

I have been a controller in the FAA since May of 1988. I went to the Academy with Trish Gilbert and it has been my pleasure to work in the same area at ZHU with her. She excels in everything that she chooses to undertake. She was a pleasure to work with as a controller, FAC Rep, Legislative Committee Chair, NATCA National VP and the numerous charitable functions she worked on. Trish sets goals and has a never tiring drive to then achieve them.

I have not known Paul as long but from what I have seen he has the driving force, intelligence and political presence to continue with the successes he has already attained.

Paul and Trish have the same NATCA goals and virtues to continue to make our union grow and become stronger. As a team they are unstoppable.

I wholeheartedly support Paul Rinaldi and Patricia Gilbert for NATCA National President / NATCA National Executive Vice President. "

✓ Mitch Herrick ,National Terminal Automation Representative (MIA)

It is my profound pleasure to once again endorse Paul Rinaldi for NATCA President and Trish Gilbert for NATCA Executive Vice President. They ran together in 2009 as “The Team for the Future” and they have proven to be exactly that and more. They are still the team I want to see lead NATCA into the future.

Their vision and leadership has helped NATCA achieve things that no one thought possible after the White Book years. Together and separately they exemplify the words SELFLESS and LEADERSHIP. Their constant effort to always put NATCA first is truly remarkable. They lead by example and by action. Not by words or rhetoric .

By using all of NATCA’s resources of past experience, current leadership and training future activists they have redefined and revitalized our organization. They continuously put the right people in the right positions to ensure our collective success. And by putting activists in positions to succeed they have garnered incredible results that will last long after their time in office is over.

I can think of no two people better to lead NATCA and I enthusiastically endorse them for another three-year term as President and Executive Vice President respectively.

✓ Mike Hull, NWP ARVP (SCT)

To all of my NATCA Sisters and Brothers;

It is with great enthusiasm, conviction, and pleasure that I endorse both Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for another term as President and Executive Vice President. They both work extremely hard on behalf of all of us individually and for our great organization as a whole. They undoubtedly and unwaveringly work 24/7/365 for the greater good of our collective whole.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Paul Rinaldi for approximately 12 years. I have known Paul as a FACREP, an ARVP, an EVP as well as in his current position of President of our Union. During the time that I have known Paul, he has earned my respect, my gratitude and my support, as well as my devotion. Paul is an extremely passionate and caring leader and he is knowledgeable about every facet of our organization.

Paul is honest, forthright, and has always done what is in the best interest of our organization, as a whole. Paul always works tirelessly on our behalf and he has always placed the interests and well being of our great organization and its membership FIRST! Paul has the dedication, devotion and knowledge that make a GREAT leader. He possesses impeccable organizational and communication skills that are absolutely necessary to take our organization to the next level.

In the several years in which I have known Trish, she has always demonstrated devotion, loyalty and dedication to our causes. Trish possesses the communication and organizational skills that are absolutely required for the position of EVP.

This fact, combined with Trish’s keen ability to ensure our legislators know and understand our position and needs on our issues, make Trish a perfect fit to continue as our elected EVP. Trish has clearly fostered the necessary legislative relationships to place NATCA in position for the best possible outcome.

Over the past 2 ½ years we have all seen their passion, dedication, knowledge, skills and overwhelming abilities to bring NATCA to reach new and ever-changing heights. Together, as the ultimate leaders of our organization, they have brought us together after a very tumultuous time in our history. Since they took office, our National Executive Board (NEB) is operating as a cohesive and well-oiled machine. It was through Paul and Trish’s leadership and vision that brought together all of our past leaders in order to harness that precious and important knowledge and experience to take us to new levels. I believe that stroke of genius on their part has made us a better and more cohesive Union.

Both Paul and Trish have created those ever-important relationships not only within the FAA, but also with our elected leaders on both sides of the aisle, as well as throughout the aviation industry. They have left no stone unturned to make us better, stronger, and more unified than we could have ever hoped for. In the last three (3) years, they have assembled a National Office Staff that is, in my opinion, second to none. Both Paul and Trish have the commitment, dedication, and passion to keep us growing and progressing towards much needed improvements. Please remember that we do not know what the future holds for our Union. There could very well be changes in the near future that have a far-reaching and profound affect on us. Paul and Trish, together, are the epitome of vision and professionalism that we so very much need at this point in time. They are the one/two punch necessary for our growth as a Union.

Sisters and Brothers, I ask you to keep this very important and much needed team together. To that end, I ask all of you to join me in voting for the future of our Union, that being Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert, our “Team for the past, present, and future.

✓ Paul Lastrapes, ZFW President

I enthusiastically endorse Paul and Trish for a second term. Their strategic planning and tireless work have positioned us robustly in these uncertain times. Let’s stay the course with these leaders who have the experience and vision to weather tough times and solidify NATCA’s widening reputation as the indispensable engine that could.

✓ Mike MacDonald, Region X RVP

Sisters and Brothers,

It is with enormous pride and enthusiasm that I endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for re-election as your NATCA President and Executive Vice President in 2012.

These past 3 years have been a time of great progress for our organization.  For reasons not of our making, NATCA was placed in an untenable position years ago when the political winds of change took us to a difficult place in our history. Through their firm, steady, and principled leadership, Paul and Trish were able to navigate NATCA past the obstacles and bring us to a new level of success.

Beginning with securing collective bargaining agreements for all of our units, then working to ensure that collaboration will be the new culture throughout, Paul and Trish led the way.  From the establishment of Professional Standards Workgroups, to strengthening our NATCA committees and continuously building the legislative relationships that help to define our organization, Paul and Trish led the way.  When the going got tough and the fatigue issues found their way to the press everyday, it was the leadership of Paul and Trish that moved us forward. And when the agency wanted to relocate Tech Ops engineers again, Paul and Trish were again leading the way.  I honestly don't know of two people who work harder or care more for this organization than Paul and Trish!

Peter Drucker, the late social economist once said, “Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes.”  These words could never be more true when describing NATCA’s current President and Executive Vice President, Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.  The results they have achieved over their past term speak for themselves!

Please join with me and re-elect Paul and Trish for another successful term as NATCA’s elected National leaders!

✓ Scot Morrison, Central ARVP (LNK)

I endorse Paul Rinaldi for NATCA President and Trish Gilbert for NATCA Executive Vice President. I have known Paul Rinaldi for several years and have seen time and again his commitment to and hard work on behalf of NATCA. Paul is leading NATCA back to prosperous times.

The past three years with Trish as the Executive Vice President have reaffirmed my belief of her professionalism and work ethic as she has pursued NATCA’s agenda. Trish works tirelessly on behalf of NATCA.

✓ Trisha Pesiri, NLC Western Pacific Region

As a member of the National Legislative Committee representing the Western Pacific Region, I am truly honored to publicly endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert for NATCA National Office. Paul and Trish have been instrumental in developing one of the most influential and respected labor unions in the federal sector, as well as, one of the most prominent organizations in the aviation community.

Paul and Trish possess a unique yet sophisticated understanding of today’s political environment. Their passion, vision, and impeccable judgment have immeasurably served our union for many years. Additionally, they have greatly enhanced communication at all levels of NATCA, and they have built and maintained essential partnerships with Congress and the Federal Aviation Administration.

Most importantly, they have worked diligently to empower NATCA’s entire membership. During Paul and Trish’s most recent tenure they have worked tirelessly on the above accomplishments and have still managed to make time to educate the membership about NATCA’s distinctive history. Through NATCA reloaded and their own individual efforts they have strategically mentored the newer generation of air traffic controllers to help secure our beloved union’s future.

Personally, I have experienced their dedication to the critical cause of developing future Natcavists. Five years ago when I began my FAA/NATCA career Paul and Trish welcomed me into the NATCA family with open arms. They took time out of their busy schedules to answer my questions and they provided me with the proper guidance and support needed to pursue my own set of activism skills. They entrusted in my abilities to serve as a national facilitator for Workforce Engagement and eventually as a member of the National Legislative Committee. Because of these roles I have been given the opportunity to witness their unmatched level of commitment to mentoring, not only myself, but countless others. Collectively we have benefited from their encouragement and enthusiasm; ultimately empowering our union through our membership.

In closing, words can hardly express the amount of admiration and appreciation I have for Paul and Trish. Above all, they have the professional characteristics needed to continue to eloquently and extraordinarily represent us in the formal collaborative relationship with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Please join me in casting your vote for Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert.

✓ Kevin Peterson, Central RVP

I am happy to write my endorsement for the re-election of Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert as President and Executive Vice President of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association. I have witnessed Paul and Trish's tireless work ethic and devotion to our membership and our professions. As a new member of the National Executive Board, they both immediately made me feel like a part of "the team". NATCA needs their vision, commitment and leadership to further the duty of representing our bargaining unit and improving the lives and the image of our professional workforce. Join me in my support of Paul and Trish and help ensure that the gains WE have made as NATCA continue.

✓ Michael Pimpao, RNO President

I was elected FacRep for RNO ATCT on November 1st, 2010. In the past year RNO tower has had several incidents that came under national scrutiny and NATCA National Leadership came to our aid to help us overcome the issues at hand. Their media presence was felt and welcomed by the members of this Local. We knew they were working hard for us and as a result RNO tower remains 100% NATCA.

Our Local has personally seen the benefits of the National Leadership's continued efforts to improve communication and collaboration with the FAA. We've seen the results of Paul and Trish's work at the National level as our working conditions and morale are the best they've been in recent years. I am confident with Paul and Trish as our President and Executive Vice President our working conditions and relationships will continue to improve. Being a new FacRep presented many different challenges for me, the national NATCA presence gave me the confidence to be a strong Local leader. Paul and Trish provide a clear direction of where NATCA needs to go, and our members greatly appreciate their strong leadership.

I fully support Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert in this upcoming election year to remain the NATCA President and Executive Vice President respectively.

✓ Victor Santore, Southern RVP

I've known and worked with Paul and Trish for years. It's been a great experience. They are soldiers, leaders, and tireless workers for our Union. We have been lucky to have them in their positions for the last few years, and will be lucky to benefit from their service for another term. Their philosophy of inclusion has been a recipe for success for NATCA. Every member of the NEB is part of decision making, planning, and execution. Paul and Trish always welcome and consider dissenting opinions, and promote a working environment wherein every member of the team walks away supporting our decisions. For these reasons they get the best from every activist and elected official; everyone works at the highest possible level because they all are an important part of the team.

Regardless of the outcome of the next Presidential election, the next FAA Administrator, in good times or bad, Paul and Trish have my enthusiastic support and endorsement for another term.

✓ Tim Smith, Southwest RVP

In 2009, I endorsed and supported Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for EVP. Now, 2.5 years later, I can say that they have far exceeded my highest expectations. The leadership that both of these individuals have provided to this NEB, and to NATCA as a whole, has been nothing short of incredible. Their valuable insights, their vision and their tireless commitment to this Union makes me proud to serve alongside them. Serving on this NEB has been a true honor and a pleasure, and I'm very proud of all we have accomplished. We still have a great deal of work ahead, and I cannot think of anyone that I would rather have leading this Union for the next 3 years. I fully support and endorse Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for EVP.

✓ Drew Stewart, NCC ZFW

Paul and Trish ran as a team for the future and after 2 years, we can clearly see that they are what is best for our Union's future. This duo has masterfully selected and placed members and NATCAvists in the perfect spots for them to excel and be valuable assets to our Union. I emphatically and enthusiastically endorse Paul and Trish for another term. I implore you all to allow them to continue to lead us through empowering us and inspiring us through their tireless and unceasing efforts in the National Office.

✓ Matt Sullivan, President PCT

I enthusiastically endorse Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President.  Paul and Trish have proven time and again what they are made of.  Their leadership has consistently served us well.  Collaboration, ATSAP, and Reloaded, just a few of their successes.  Throw in their communication skills, knowledge and passion for what they do, and we have the Best of the Best.  I am PROUD to cast my vote for Paul and Trish.

The TAMPA Executive Board

✓ Randy Drose Tampa NATCA President

✓ Lee White Tampa NATCA Vice-President

✓ Mike Orfanakis Tampa NATCA Treasurer

✓ Jason Rebmann Tampa NATCA Secretary

Tampa Tower (TPA) Executive Board formally announces its support for the re-election of Paul Rinaldi for President and Trish Gilbert for Executive Vice President. This great Union of ours has greatly benefitted from both Paul and Trish’s experience and dedication and we as a collective body support their re-election.

Their decision to run as a team gives us the best leaders working together side by side. There is no transition to occur, but only the continued excellence they have both displayed throughout their first term. Through all the events that occurred over the last two and a half years there was absolutely no question at any time our leadership with Paul and Trish was the right choice and continues to this day. The partnerships they have forged in such a short time are reflective of their styles of leadership. Whether with members of congress or a newly hired controller their presence is always well received. We am happy and honored to endorse them for President and Executive Vice President of NATCA.

In Solidarity,

The Tampa NATCA Executive Board

✓ Steven Wallace, ZMA President

A few years ago, I wrote an open letter to the NATCA membership in support of Paul and Trish; Team 4 the Future. In that letter, I spoke of the need for our Union to have leaders with the depth of knowledge, finesse and dedication that Paul and Trish have brought to the table on our behalf. Since they have been in office, they have not disappointed me or given me any reason to doubt their ability to lead our Union; they have continually exceeded my expectations.

Today, I am proud to support Paul and Trish for a second term of office. When you consider the many new Agreements that we have made with the FAA, the increase in the number and quality of our Union benefits, the culture changes that are occurring within the FAA in areas such as collaboration and fatigue mitigation, the many legislative activities that we are a part of as well as NATCA’s expanded global presence; NATCA has made giant strides forward in all aspects with Paul and Trish at the helm.

They want an opportunity to continue their charge and I remain confident that they are the best choice for our Union.

Join me in voting for Paul and Trish.

✓ Steve Weidner, NLC Chair

I have had the privilege to work closely with both members of NATCA’s Team for the Future – Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert – over the past five years. I’ve worked with each of them individually and I’ve worked with them as a team.

During that same period, Paul was serving as our Executive Vice-President. The volume of legislative activity during that time allowed me to work closely with him. Paul realized very early during the imposed work rules that our unity, our solidarity – our collective spirit, as he called it – was essential to seeing us through that difficult time. He knew that strong, inspirational leadership was what we needed. Paul traveled the country, speaking to our members, buoying their spirit and lifting their morale. We made it through the imposed work rules, largely thanks to Paul’s visionary and inspirational leadership.

As a member of NATCA’s National Legislative Committee (NLC), I was fortunate to serve for over three years during Trish Gilbert’s tenure as the chair of that committee. Trish’s led the NLC during one of the darkest times in NATCA’s history – the imposed work rules. Regardless of the challenge, Trish rose to meet it. The more difficult things became, the harder she worked. Trish’s work ethic and staunch belief in our cause inspired activists all over the country to work harder and dig deeper. Thanks to Trish’s commitment and leadership as chair of the NLC, NATCA’s legislative presence and effectiveness grew exponentially.

In 2009, the Team for the Future told our members that, if elected, they would take our Union to new heights and would provide stalwart, unified leadership. Our membership elected them to fulfill that promise. As the chair of the NLC, I have worked along side Paul and Trish on our legislative agenda. I have seen first hand the effective work they are doing for our members on Capitol Hill and within the aviation and labor communities.

Since taking office, the Team for the Future has successfully guided NATCA from a period of conflict and controversy to a time of collaboration and cooperation. Throughout this transition, they have maintained NATCA’s integrity and principles. They have communicated their actions and their direction and they have effectively used the talents of those around them. They have been strong leaders for our Union. In short, they have done what they pledged that they would do if they were elected.

The Team for the Future is running for re-election and I assure you, they are the most qualified members to lead our Union. I enthusiastically and wholeheartedly endorse Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert – our Team for the Future – for another term as our President and Executive Vice-President. They will have my vote and I encourage you to give them your vote as well.

✓ Tony Yushinsky, SCT

It is with great enthusiasm that I endorse Paul Rinaldi for NATCA President and Patricia Gilbert for NATCA Executive Vice-President!

Over the course of the past eight years, I have gotten to know Paul Rinaldi and am proud to serve this great Union along side him and to call him my friend. Paul has proven to me that he is a strong leader, well spoken with the perfect temperament and mannerisms to lead NATCA into the next chapter of our young history. He works tirelessly on our behalf and has always been there for me, to lend an ear or help solve a problem, no matter how difficult it may have seemed. The leadership Paul has exhibited as President has only solidified my view that Paul was the right choice then, and is the right choice now.

No one can question Patricia Gilbert’s commitment and dedication to NATCA as a Legislative leader. Trish is the textbook example of “hard working activist”. My experience with Trish Gilbert dates back nearly twenty years, when she and I served NATCA on a National AWS negotiating team. Trish proved to be a steely-eyed negotiator, a worthy adversary to the Agency and someone who worked tirelessly to ensure the best outcome for her membership. Trish has brought her enthusiasm and dedication to the office of Executive Vice-President, and I have no doubt that she will continue to make us proud for the next three years.

I strongly endorse Paul Rinadli for President and Patricia Gilbert for Executive Vice-President.

✓ Bryan Zilonis, Great Lakes RVP

I have been on the National Executive Board for 5 years, and I have served as a negotiator for NATCA National since 1999. Paul Rinaldi and Trish Gilbert have elevated the bar when it comes to operating NATCA as a team. Both of them have skillfully ensured that the right people are in place to further the mission of this Union. They have developed relationships within the FAA and Industry that have proven invaluable. It has been a pleasure working for and with them, and there is no other team that I would rather work with. With them we just get things done. I enthusiastically endorse both Paul and Trish for President and Executive Vice President.
